After many decades of decline of Athens, a functional void in the midst of the built city center is created. ThThe existing dominance and inequalities of shadow education, as well as the high built density, but simultaneous void through vacancy and lack of public space in the urban landscape of Athens, acted as a catalyst for the concept of „Unifying Corridors“. A new type of education infrastructure should be provided. ThThe existing neglected buildings are reinterpreted and reconnected through a built and virtual network by means of minimal built interventions. With succeeding crowd-sourced virtual networks as an inspiration, a physical, community- driven, growing, network is established. Inhabitants can inscribe for, or create courses held in the recontextualized spaces. Everyday Athenian informalities and realities are intertwined and reshaped, creating a new type of civic exchange.
