On the northern border of Sharm el Sheikh lies the village of Nabq. After countless hotel miles there are many beautiful bays, which aren't very busy yet and have not been occupied by hotels. This place is located in a nature reserve and belongs to the Bedouin habitation, who use the sea connection especially for fishing.
The entrance fee for locals to Nabq Bay is 5 L.E. per person and per car. Other visitors pay five Euros per person.
The special thing about Nabq, apart from the white sandy beaches, are the mangroves. Mangroves are trees that grow in the swamp of salty water. It is a small paradise in itself and certainly something you don't see every day. In addition to the mangroves, this village is also inhabited by several birds. On one side you find the mountains in the desert and on the other side you see the Red Sea and the border of Saudi Arabia. A breathtaking landscape.
