Don't worry - the bay is not really a bay full of sharks. In Shark's Bay there is a jetty for boats which are headed to the island of Tiran. On the other hand there is a quiet beach, a diving school and a hotel-village complex. Umbi Village was originally a Bedouin village and is still run by Bedouins. That's why the restaurant does not serve alcoholic beverages - out of respect for the indigenous people. At the hotel, guests from outside can also rent deck chairs and parasols for a good price.
A visit to the Sharks Bay is worthwhile. Don't forget your snorkel and your diving mask!
